I cut 18 pounds for my first amateur fight. I trained like it was my job. I learned what it means to step through the ropes and trust nothing but your preparation. But when it came time to look the part - to walk out feeling like the fighter I'd worked to become - I hit a wall. The trunks out there were either mass-produced and forgettable, or custom, overpriced, and weeks out from the one thing every fighter never has enough of: time before fight night.

So I made my own.

I'm Dominique Pearl - a fashion designer first, a fighter by choice. I built my career in ready-to-wear, from fashion week runways to mass market, before boxing found me. And when the industry couldn't give me what I needed for my own fight, I did what any designer would: I altered a pair myself, added the patches I wanted, and started building prototypes from scratch. That was the moment d.P. Studio NYC was born - not as a business plan, but as a fighter solving her own problem, one stitch at a time.

Four years later, the studio still runs the way it started: fighter tested, designer refined. Every fight kit is one of one, built by hand in our South Bronx studio.
